Pocahontas Music Details the Business Dispute Behind Her Decision to Protect RAW Social | Pocahontas Music
Pocahontas Music explains why she ended relationships involving Abdul Chestnut, Katrina Whitfield, Alvin Merrifield, AEMGTV, and iYAP Global.
Pocahontas Music formally terminated all business relationships and agreements involving Abdul Chestnut of AEMGTV, Katrina Whitfield, Alvin Merrifield of iYAP Global, AEMGTV, and iYAP Global on June 1, 2026. Her decision followed changing funding discussions, pressure involving ownership of RAW Social, concerns about platform access, and inconsistencies between what she was told and what she observed. Funding promises and ownership pressure Chestnut and Whitfield repeatedly presented funding opportunities, investor discussions, and partnership proposals. Pocahontas Music was told RAW Social could receive between $1 million and $3 million, but the numbers, terms, promises, and expectations changed over time. She was eventually told funding would not happen unless she gave up a substantial portion of her company. Whitfield and Chestnut introduced her to Merrifield, owner of iYAP Global. Pocahontas Music was informed that Merrifield wanted 40% ownership of RAW Social in exchange for helping with infrastructure, scaling, and operations. Many of the areas they identified for development had already been built or were actively managed within the platform. Her autism diagnosis was frequently raised during the discussions. Although the references were presented as efforts to help or protect her, Pocahontas Music felt they were being used to question her judgment, business knowledge, and decision-making. She has three degrees in Business Administration and understood the long-term consequences of giving away company equity. Whitfield also discussed placing Pocahontas Music on a payroll arrangement, but the compensation, expectations, and details changed along with the funding discussions. The more questions Pocahontas Music asked, the more inconsistencies she observed. Alvin Merrifield's access to RAW Social Merrifield communicated with Pocahontas Music directly only once. During that conversation, he requested access to RAW Social's code and infrastructure so he could evaluate the platform. After access was granted, direct communication largely stopped. Calls and messages went unanswered, and discussions shifted back to Whitfield and Chestnut. Pocahontas Music later learned that Merrifield allegedly described RAW Social as a blog, a characterization she strongly rejects. She was also told that he and his team had spent significant time reviewing and working inside the platform. Her own platform logs and activity records did not match those descriptions. The records available to Pocahontas Music showed activity associated with Merrifield's access that appeared to involve attempts to modify areas of RAW Social's code and platform infrastructure. Those observations raised significant concerns and led her to revoke his access. Information found after the termination On June 2, 2026, one day after ending the relationships, Pocahontas Music found information online discussing AEMGTV and iYAP Global. It referenced warning signs involving substantial funding promises, claimed investor access, requests for access to systems and accounts, pressure to move forward with agreements, and other concerns resembling what she experienced. The similarities reinforced her decision to end the relationships and take additional steps to protect RAW Social, her intellectual property, code, business, and ownership rights. Dene Dubois and BPD RAW On June 16, 2026, Pocahontas Music became aware of BPD RAW, owned by Dene Dubois. Because Pocahontas Music is diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, the company name immediately caught her attention. After reviewing the company, she observed substantial similarities between BPD RAW and RAW Social in website design, presentation, branding, typography, color palette, visual identity, logo styling, layout, aesthetic direction, and overall appearance. RAW Social was conceived and developed more than a year earlier. Pocahontas Music LLC was registered on March 8, 2026, and RAW Social launched publicly on April 10, 2026. Pocahontas Music understands that BPD RAW was created after RAW Social had already been developed, established, and launched. When she attempted to address the similarities directly with Dubois, she was blocked instead of being given an opportunity to discuss the matter. Protecting RAW Social RAW Social remains solely owned and controlled by Pocahontas Music. It is not affiliated with AEMGTV, iYAP Global, BPD RAW, Abdul Chestnut, Katrina Whitfield, Alvin Merrifield, or Dene Dubois. Pocahontas Music has retained communications, emails, messages, platform logs, documentation, and witness testimony relating to these matters. She says these experiences are why she has taken additional steps to protect RAW Social, its intellectual property, code, branding, business model, ownership, and future.
